Kilmacolm has regularly been endorsed by the highest calibre of golfer and we're delighted to have a past R&A Captain, Internationalists and Curtis Cup members within our Club.

Andrew Farmer
  • Represented Scotland at every level; schoolboy, Under 16, Under 18, Under 21s and full international level
  • Won tournaments at club, county, Scottish, British and European level
  • Played in Great Britain & Ireland Under 18 team vs Europe in 1992
  • Part of Scottish Boys Under 18 team that won European Boys in 1992, team included future Ryder Cup player Stephen Gallacher
  • Full Scottish Internationalist 1997, 1998 and 1999
  • British Mid Amateur champion 2000

Colin Brown

A past captain of Kilmacolm and Prestwick golf clubs, Colin was captain of the Royal and Ancient for 2009/2010.

He joined the R&A in 1994 and served on the finance committee for five years and was chairman of the membership committee as well as a member of the general committee. His Prestwick captaincy in 2001 was during the club's 150th anniversary year. Fittingly, he was R&A captain for the 150th anniversary of the Open at St Andrews, which was of course first held at Prestwick in 1860.
