One of Scotland’s Top 100 courses, set amidst breath-taking scenery to the west of Glasgow, Kilmacolm Golf Club was founded in 1891 and is renowned for its James Braid layout. The challenging course has been enjoyed by all standards of golfer for generations.
We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated General Manager to work alongside the committee and lead the staff team.
Responsibilities include:
- The key link between the committee, members, and the daily operations of the club.
- Managing direct reports across all departments, ensuring all decisions are in line with the overall club strategy.
- Maintain and enhance our membership focused experience, visiting parties & society enquiries.
- The management and development of all staff.
- Responsible for communication between the club and its members through all channels, including, email, website, social media and print
- Create and implement marketing strategy to ensure optimum promotion of all services.
- Manage and implement all required HR and Health and Safety processes.
- Manage and maintenance of the club’s facilities.
- Manage club’s financial revenue against budgets.
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years previous club management experience.
- CMAE/GCMA club qualification, or on the pathway.
- Experience in budgeting and revenue forecasting.
- Strong leadership and staff management.
- Highly IT literate, including Microsoft 365, EPOS and club management software solutions.
- Proactive, strategic thinker with a positive and progressive outlook, who can lead and inspire people, and develop new ideas.
